About Local 499

Since that time, we have grown to approximately 1,000 members representing seven companies with eight different contracts.

The Companies we have contracts with are:
1. Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative
2. Clarke Electric Cooperative
3. Midland Power Cooperative
4. Nishnabotna Valley Rural Electric Cooperative
5. North West REC
6. MidAmerican Energy (2 contracts)
7. Woodbury County REC

We cover a lot of area in the state of Iowa and part of South Dakota. With eight different contracts and people all over the state, union meetings are held at various times and locations.
